A refreshing wash, professional dry and brush-out to leave your dog clean, fresh and looking their best – without a haircut. We dry right through the coat to remove trapped moisture that can cause damp dog smell, then finish by lifting away loose hair.

Prices start from £50
A specialist technique that removes the dead outer coat by hand, helping to preserve your dog’s natural texture, colour and weather-resistant qualities. A skilled, time-intensive approach for suitable coats.

Prices start from £35
For dogs that leave a little – or a lot – of themselves around the house. We use a deep wash, high-velocity dry and specialist tools to lift out loose undercoat and dead hair, leaving the coat cleaner, fresher and lighter. (And less housework for you!)

Prices start from £40
Everything you need to tackle a heavy-shedding coat, with a little extra polish. Alongside the de-shed, we neaten the coat with hand-scissored styling and finish with a nail clip, leaving your dog clean, tidy and looking their best.

Prices start from £30
A complete wash, cut and finish, tailored to your dog’s coat and their individual needs. We take the time to understand their coat and recommend a groom that works for them.
Hello! I'm Steph, founder of Prior & Pooch. I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up with our Labrador, Fizz, and now have my own working Cocker Spaniel, Willow, who keeps me very busy at home! Ten years in education taught me that patience and trust make all the difference. I bring that to every groom, working at your dog’s pace so they feel safe, and keeping you in the loop from drop-off to collection.

We keep things calm, considered and unhurried. Your dog gets our full attention, and you get a clear picture of how the groom went.
We put your dog’s comfort and wellbeing at the heart of every groom. City & Guilds and First Aid trained, we understand how to work safely with different coats, temperaments and your pet’s individual needs.
We believe dogs are happier when they know who they’re with. As a one-to-one groomer your dog gets to build a bond with the same person, allowing trust and familiarity to grow with every visit.
A space where your dog can feel comfortable, cared for and secure throughout their visit. Our air conditioned studio, low-stress hydro-bath and a gated entrance keep every groom calm and relaxed.

Grooming prices depend on your dog’s breed, size, coat condition and the type of groom they need. Please get in touch to discuss your dog’s grooming cost. If you’re unsure which service is right for your dog, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
A full groom typically takes between 1 and 2 hours, depending on your dog’s size and coat condition. Every dog is different, so timings can also vary depending on the style of groom and how comfortable they are with the process.
We allow time to work at your dog’s pace, prioritising their comfort and wellbeing rather than rushing to meet a deadline. At your appointment, we’ll give you an estimated collection time and let you know when your dog is ready to head home, so you can plan your day with confidence.
Every groom is one-to-one, giving your dog the space to settle into the experience with us. You’ll drop your dog off at the start of their appointment and collect them when their groom is complete.
This depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, lifestyle and the style you want to maintain. Some coats benefit from professional grooming every six to eight weeks, while others can go longer between appointments. We’ll be happy to recommend a routine that suits your dog and helps keep their coat comfortable and manageable between visits.
Every dog responds to grooming differently, and we take the time to understand what helps each dog feel more comfortable. We pay attention to how your dog is responding and adapt the experience where we can, working at a pace that suits them. If your dog has specific worries or needs, please let us know when booking so we can discuss the best approach together. Your dog’s comfort and welfare always come first.
